The birth of Shepherds Heart began one Sunday morning in September 2006. Scott and Irene had previously sung in a quartet called The Kisers. Two of the members, Scott’s parents, were unable to travel like in the past. Scott and Irene wanted to continue their work for the Lord. They asked several people if they might be interested but in efforts to find a dedicated singer failed. THEN, one Sunday morning during the song service, Scott looked in the crowd and asked his uncle, Rocky, to sing and we would back him up. As we three started to sing, the spirit of the Lord was so strong. It was like we had been singing for years. After the service, Scott came to Irene and asked her, “What do you think about asking Rocky to sing with us?” Scott didn’t know Irene was already thinking the same thing. Through all the searching and wondering who could we get to sing, God made the decision for us. He brought Rocky to us. We have been singing God’s praises since that very day. We are one big happy family. We are so excited that after two years of singing, we finished our 1st cd, Headed Out. It was a great experience. An even greater experience when we hear how the cd has touched people’s lives. It has brought this group so much joy to be able to share in the love of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
