Lauren King
Lauren started singing in church as soon as she was old enough to know how to hold a microphone. Her parents encouraged her to sing as much as she could and as many places as she could. At age 7, she was quickly becoming a regular soloist at her church, and she was also given opportunities to sing at revivals and tent meetings. When she was 8 years old, Lauren’s parents took her to a friend’s studio where she recorded a project on cassette tape. They let her record this project as a Christmas gift for proud family and friends who loved to hear her sing.
After having gone through years of school choir and singing in church, Lauren has not grown tired of praising God in song. Music is the common ground between her and her husband Shane, who is a DJ for Praise 96.3 FM in Knoxville, Tn. Shane acts as her manager, songwriting partner, and even her drummer for some gigs. They are both excited about the release of her first album, “My Offering” and first radio single, “All to Him.”
Lauren hopes that her music will touch many lives and glorify our heavenly father!!
